Position Description

Dynetics is an employee-owned company seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.

Dynetics is seeking an electrical design engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex weapon system problems. The candidate will primarily be engaged in defining, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying research/experimental solutions across a range of weapon system applications for warhead fuzing and rocket motor ignition. Relevant skills would include digital and analog hardware design along with GUI development and embedded C/C++ programming.

Candidate will be able to make meaningful contributions to multiple efforts as well as interface directly with customers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential for the team environment.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or similar discipline) and aminimum of two (2) years of related experience.

  • Position will require candidate to demonstrate a working knowledge of schematic capture, PCB layout and micro-controller-based C development.

  • Candidate must have the ability to work in a collaborative environment and interface with technical stakeholders on a regular basis.

  • Position will require candidate to troubleshoot hardware in a laboratory utilizing multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other basic lab tools.

Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

Other Qualifications

Candidates who have hands-on experience in digital and analog design, including high voltage design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and communication protocols are preferred.

Strong consideration will be given to individuals who also possess knowledge of Altium E-CAD design software or GUI development with Python, LabVIEW or other software packages.

Experience soldering and assembling hardware is a plus.

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
