Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented UAS Emulator Specialist to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. The Specialist in this role will work with Unmanned Aircraft Systems testing. Specific tasking will focus on the support of the Unmanned Aircraft System control stations and their maintenance and readiness to support testing. The role will support testing as well as all the readiness functions of the control stations as part of the test team, to include:
Maintain full mission capability of a fleet of twelve U-280 UASGCS-V3 UAS control station emulators.
Manage trouble ticket reporting, updating, closing, and analysis for trends.
Ensure that the fleet maintains active licensure status for all software elements.
Maintain spare component inventory.
Process component repairs through Government procurement system.
Solicit user community feedback through weekly or bi-weekly user group telecon.
Maintain database with details regarding current software version of emulator fleet.
Achieve proficiency in the software installation, network element management/maintenance, and operation of UASGCS-V3.
Participate in Project Management Office (PMO) Engineering Review Board (ERB) meetings to determine potential and upcoming fleet-wide hardware and software updates, provide plans to the PMO for fleet upgrades, estimate cost (material, labor, travel) to achieve update status, and perform updates.
A technical degree in Electrical or Industrial & Systems Engineering (or Similar), or equivalent experience is preferred.
Position requires knowledge of or interest in one or more of the following: network hardware (switches, hubs, and 802.11 wireless), UAS Command and Control (RQ-7B, MQ-1C), and computer architectures.
Technical writing and communication skills required.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be comfortable interfacing with customers and working in a dynamic environment requiring expertise on a variety of systems. Must be able to work independently as well as participate in group projects/test events.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
