Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Technical Director to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Dynetics provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
This position requires a senior, experienced Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) engineer to lead developmental efforts for advanced avionics solutions. Inclusive in this process is the development of time, space, position algorithms, and implementation of these items in 6DOF simulations, Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities, and operational avionics hardware. The candidate for this position will lead a multimillion dollar development program working closely with the PNT Chief Engineer. The candidate will have demonstrated technical background in PNT along with experieince managing large complex fast paced projects.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Physics with 10 or more years of experience with feedback control system design and analysis.
- The candidate must have experience with state estimation filters such as KALMAN, Extended KALMAN filter (EKF).
Candidate must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, and have the desire to work in a highly focused technical team to solve challenging problems utilizing a broad spectrum of skills.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Top Secret/SSBI Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Final Top Secret Clearance.
