Dynetics, an employee-owned company, is seeking talented candidates to join a diverse team, primarily focused on electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) modeling and simulation (M&S). The ideal candidate will have a broad technical capability base to support overlapping technical disciplines. Candidate may be required to support multiple tasks in parallel, productively contribute in a team environment, communicate effectively, write reports, develop high-quality products, and present analysis results scientifically and accurately.
Candidates may support software development, target and sensor model development, missile/aircraft/ground vehicle radiometric signature predictions, data analysis, measurement and testing, trajectory development, the creation of scenes and background models, and/or component integration into simulation architectures.
Specific roles may include providing feedback and input on improving EO/IR target model fidelity, improving sensor models, modifying IR/visible signatures to meet customer needs/requirements, supporting various EO/IR measurement activities, and processing measurement results to validate component models.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Physics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or an equivalent degree.
Candidate expected to have 0–10 years technical experience.
Work to be performed is an expansion of existing capabilities in the EO/IR field.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.
A Master’s degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines is a plus. Experience in Python, Perl, C, C++, MATLAB, and/or FORTRAN is beneficial, as is familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with standard industry modeling tools (SolidWorks, CREO, NX, OSC, TAOS, Xpatch, etc.) that fit the job description are not required, although this experience could be relevant.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
