This position supports the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Research and Technology, supporting technical studies and assessments related to programs under S&T purview; assist in planning, developing and maintaining document management policies, guidelines and procedures; provide strategic planning and conduct research and analysis in support of program and budget activities; and derive technical and programmatic information, preparing Executive summaries, briefings, point papers, and other products as necessary to apprise the ODASA(R&T) leadership of relevant issues and developments related to budgetary, programmatic, and technical concerns.
Candidate must must possess a B.S. in an engineering or hard science field and a minimum of ten (10) years' experience or have equivalent experience.
Excellent technical, written, and oral communications and organization skills required.
Candidate must have extensive specific experience with Systems Engineering, Business and Financial Management, and Technical Management, as well as an extensive understanding of the Army and its operations.
Candidate must be able to work independently and maintain proactive oversight of all active efforts and its impacts on risk reduction for Army S&T programs.
Knowledge of DoDI, AR 70-1 5000-series Program Acquisition, and Systems Engineering documentation and process is essential.
Active DoD security clearance is required.
Travel less than 10%.
Experience in military S&T arena is a definite plus.
Proficient in the use of MS Office capabilities, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Knowledge of Task Management Tracking system.
Ability to generate policy in accordance with Army documentation standards.
Desire DAWIA Level I equivalency in Science and Technology.
General understanding of Manufacturing Technology, Technology Maturation Initiatives, and Additive Manufacturing.
Previous working experience with Army R&D Labs and/or PEO.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
